For more than three decades, clients have relied on Mara to assist them in assessing and structuring their finances to achieve objectives, support long-term wellbeing and create tax efficiencies.

At Singer & Falk, she is a lead player in working with healthcare clients and those who count on us for trust and estate planning. Her healthcare clients include a wide range of professionals at all stages of their careers, from those embarking on their first professional positions to seasoned providers forming a practice, to those preparing for retirement and selling their practices. Her trust and estate planning clients are similarly diverse and have included older individuals inheriting significant wealth late in life, surviving spouses having to handle finances for the first time and young professionals wanting to build solid foundations. Mara is passionate about listening deeply to clients’ hopes and goals and collaborating with their other professionals – attorneys, bankers, investment advisors and risk managers – to fine-tune plans and structures to meet those needs.

Although she is a third-generation accountant, Mara did not plan to go into the field but was drawn to the business side of the art world. One of her early work experiences involved working in the archives of the Vanderbilt Planetarium. Prior to joining Singer & Falk, Mara worked in the private client tax group at Brown Brothers Harriman. She previously worked in various family offices and also has a background in audit, as well as general public accounting.
